What We Believe

The following are the core beliefs of Grace Temple Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

God

We believe in the one triune God revealed in the Bible: the Father, Jesus Christ the Son; and the Holy Spirit. (Col. 1:15-23; 2:9)

Bible

We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and our standard for faith and practice. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)

Salvation

Man's salvation is through believing upon Jesus Christ as one's personal Savior, turning from sin and seeking forgiveness from God. (Rom. 10:9, 10; Eph. 2:8-9)

Covenant

God is a covenant-making and covenant-keeping God: that is,
He has made promises to those who respond in love by
committing their lives to Him. (Jer. 31:31-34)

Holy Spirit

All believers have the Holy Spirit living in them.   However, we believe in the "Baptism in the Holy Spirit" as an experience subsequent to the new birth which brings power to the believer. We believe in the gifts and fruit of the Spirit.
(Acts 2:1-4)

FIVE FOLD MINISTRY

Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are
given unto the church for its equipping for service.
(Eph. 4:10)

WATER BAPTISM

Every believer is commanded to be baptized in water, not only as an act of obedience, but we believe that a spiritual circumcision of the heart takes place when done in faith.
(Col 2:9-14)

LAYING ON OF HANDS

The New Testament teaches laying on of hands for
confirmation, impartation, and healing.
(Acts 13:1-3, Mark 10:16)

PRIESTHOOD OF THE BELIEVER

By the shedding· of His blood, Jesus has become our High Priest
and has made it possible for each Christian to have
free access to the presence of the Father.
(1 Peter 2:4-12)

FAMILIES

Families are the cornerstone of our society. God is pro-family, therefore we believe in ministering to the whole family.

WORSHIP

Worship is central at Grace Temple because of its importance to God. (John 4:24)

ORDER

We believe that God operates through the leadership of the church. We encourage everyone to join the leader of the service
and follow the flow of the service.
(1 Cor. 14:33, 40)
